Executive summary

The report aimed to represent the strategic analysis of one of the selected company that is, New Relic which is mainly an application performance management company. The report incorporated different strategic management tools for the purpose of analysing the internal and external factors of the company. Based on the analysis of the current strategic positioning of the company along with the assessment of threats, opportunities and internal competencies, the report provided recommendations at last. It has been assessed that the company has been performing with sustainability within the sector it operates; however, it is also exposed to certain threats and challenges, especially in the light of changing and complex data protection laws and acts. Moreover, the company is also exposed to the threats like technological diffusion and rapidly increasing competition within the sector. Based on this, the following recommendations are also provided. It is recommended that the company excel in its technological innovation amid the risen technological diffusion and increased competition. In this regard, the focus towards AI- applications would be feasible.
